Prepare, shave gently, soothe: a short routine to limit beard imperfections.
Ingrown hairs after shaving: the steps that make all the difference

An ingrown hair grows back under the skin or struggles to emerge properly. Areas with curly beards or those shaved very closely are often more affected.

Before shaving

Gently clean and soften the area with warm water. A clean and suitable blade avoids multiple passes.

During

Shave in the direction of hair growth when possible. Apply light pressure and do not go over an already irritated area multiple times.

After

Rinse, pat dry without rubbing, and apply a light soothing treatment. An exfoliating active ingredient can be useful between shaves, but not on irritated skin.

Avoid extracting the hair with your fingers. If the lesions are painful, infected, or recurrent, seek advice from a healthcare professional.
